I'm Derrick, bringing over a decade of tech expertise and Disney magic to Welcome Compass. My journey began at The Walt Disney Company, where I spent 5 years mastering room inventory management and enhancing guest services. Leading a team dedicated to guest NPS, we constantly innovated to elevate the guest experience. Post-Disney, my tech adventures spanned various projects, from web technologies to mobile apps. This unique blend of hospitality and technology expertise makes me adept at integrating advanced tech solutions to transform and personalize guest experiences.

My professional background is a blend of advertising, marketing, and tech expertise where I have held leadership roles in customer service, account management, and product. Outside of work, I am passionate about traveling and exploring different countries and regions. My professional experience combined with personal interests ultimately led me to this new venture at Welcome Compass where we use advanced technology to enhance travel experiences. At Disney - I led projects across parks, resorts, and the cruise line focusing on leveraging technology to drive the guest experience, with a particular focus on the impact of personalization. From there, my tech experience has led me to executive positions at multiple fortune 500 companies, leading the development of new experiences and products.
